Bring in Spring with some outdoor family fun this weekend!

Spring arrives this weekend and with temperatures expected in the high-70’s it is a great opportunity to spend some time outdoors with your family.  There are several events taking place this weekend
Downtown Newnan invites music lovers and musicians out for Pickin’ on the Square beginning at 11am.
The Senoia Optimist Club will host their Annual BBQ at the Senoia Masonic Lodge (19 Main St, Senoia – between Hollberg’s Furniture & Senoia Coffee) on Saturday from 11am-2pm.
White Oak Elementary School (770 Lora Smith Rd) will host the 2011 Spring Auction & BBQ Dinner beginning at 6pm.  This event helps raise money for educational projects and school needs.  BBQ plates $5, auction free to the public.  This event promises to be a fast-paced, fun evening designed to enrich students and the community.
Want to get a jump on some Spring Cleaning? At 9 a.m. Saturday, volunteers who want to join Keep Newnan Beautiful's Great American Cleanup event will meet behind City Hall and set out for their morning street cleanup assignment. After helping clean for the morning, the volunteers will return to City Hall for a hot dog lunch. There will also be a shredder on site from 9am-noon. There will also be an Electronics Recycling Truck at the Kroger/Hastings Shopping Center off Bullsboro and Greison Trl from 8:30am-1pm.
Or take your family to one of Coweta County’s local parks for a picnic and a day of active fun!  Full list of Coweta County parks.
